On March 12, 2006, a storm hit the town of Lawrence, KS. The national weather service has not officially recorded the storm as a tornado, but at about 7:40 a.m. a strong gust of wind swept through Lawrence, Kansas uprooting trees, breaking windows, shattering glass in cars, businesses, homes, and many other sturctures. Over 60 percent of the buildings on the University of Kansas campus were harmed by the tornado. The acting department's Murphy Hall had part of its roof ripped off. Another building, Snow Hall, had doors destroyed and Templin Hall, a nearby dorm, had an air conditioner thrown from its roof. The music is "Flute and Rain" by former Lawrence-resident and multi-instrumentalist Steve Unruh.
